Santo da Serra Golf Club overlooks Machico Bay

Where Portuguese navigators first landed on Madeira Island. Originally built in 1937, the course was redesigned in 1991 by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. The result is a stunning 27-hole course set in a beautiful natural landscape.

The Machico and Desertas courses

Where the Madeira Island Open is played, are part of the PGA European Tour. The Serras course offers an alternative with lakes and mountain views. Each hole has four optional tees for varying skill levels. The course features excellent fairways, greens, and a botanical garden with lakes.
